24/7 Family Home Care provides comfort and security.

Born from personal heartache and stress, 24/7 Family Home Care was founded by Doctor Julie Zimmerer and later joined by daughter Megan Zimmerer to ensure Southern California's aging community had an option for the best non-medical home care. In the past 12 months, 24/7 Family Home Care has hired 32 caregivers and is looking to add an additional 40 more in the next year. Megan answered a few questions via email about the goal behind the company, and 24 Family Home Care valuable caregivers. Q. What does your company do that sets it apart from others in the field? A. As a family, we have endured the nightmares many people have when welcoming a stranger into their home to care for our loved ones. We knew there had to be a better way, so we created this company because of personal experience and wanted to create a solution to ensure others did not experience what we did. We truly care about our employees and our clients. We don't match up clients and caregivers because their schedules work. We match them up because we think the relationship will be the right fit. We also do not put caregivers on the bottom of a list because a job does not work with their schedule. We give them the option of doing it or not. We also pay more than most companies do. Q. How do you motivate and recognize top talent at your company? A. We have employees of the quarter. We recognize them by publishing them in our newsletter with a bio, and giving them grocery or gas cards. We also do an end-of-the-year appreciation lunch at our office. Q. What perks or benefits do you and your employees value most? A. The flexibility of their schedule. Q. What have you seen and has your company done differently in the past year as the economy has improved? A. We have adapted to the low economy by sacrificing as owners in the low times to ensure our clients did not have to pay more money for our services and that we didn't have to cut pay. In the end it benefited everyone because we were able to survive and come out stronger than before. Q. What's the best way for a boss to foster a collaborative, creative environment in which employees enjoy working? A. We have an open-door policy, and we love ideas. If anyone has an issue, an idea or a concern, we want to know! And we listen. Q. How does your company make the Inland Empire better? A. Our industry is very important for the current population and even more important for our future population. We have high standards, and the more we stick to those standards, the more it makes other companies do the same (we also learn from them as well). If we all continue to set standards high and learn from each other, care for the current and forward will be exactly what the older population deserves and has earned.

We accept aid and attendance pension program and home maker services plan through the veteran’s administration.
